Our home was built by General Electric as a model for the Century of Progress, held in Chicago in 1935. We’ve lived in it for 38 years and are very proud of it. We’ve also attempted to be good stewards, but, it is almost 80 years old! Who knows what potential problems exist? Because we may attempt to downsize in a few years, we decided to have the home inspected so we could attend to any existing problems in a timely and cost-effective manner. We became aware of Don Lang through our daughter Julie, a good friend of the Lang’s. To say we were very pleased would be an understatement. Don spent several hours investigating the plumbing, electrical and structural integrity of our 3,000 square foot home and issued a comprehensive report. Using his report as a guide, we have proceeded to call upon the services of qualified personnel to take care of the specific issues. Our son, Matthew, (a builder of quality homes in Nantucket) read Don’s report from cover to cover and was very impressed by its thoroughness. Whether we sell our home in the immediate future or decide to remain for a few years, we will be confident in the fact that we have been good stewards of the property, and Don Lang provided a roadmap for the undertaking. I fully endorse Don Lang (Watchman Inspection LLC) and would highly recommend his services to anyone considering a thorough inspection of their home.
